A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum...

Actually, nothing happened.

Two things about this line:

1.  It is known as a clever hook.  I learned about clever opening sentence hooks in one of my audited (translation--Val is a cheapwad and doesn't want to pay for it) free online "college" classes I take just for fun.  I guess because I am an old woman and that is what we do. That, and randomly fall down for no discernable reason.

2.  The name of this font is actually "Forum" so it was begging to be used.

If you are still reading this, that means that the hook worked.  Some miliennial named Star Child, who dreams of being an "influencer," taught my free, cheapwad online class.  What she actually wants to influence others to do, I am not sure.

Let's begin again.

Once Upon A Time, I Started A Blog Named The Mini Mission

Actually, this is true.

You can read all about it here:

https://theminimission.blogspot.com/

I took myself on a 9-week missionary road trip over two summers to visit all the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS or Mormon) church historical sites in the US.  I went alone, took scenic byways to the middle of nowhere and ate food off the floor of my car.  She was affectionately known as "Mrs. Fun."

Mrs. Fun was a classic (actually, vintage by legal terms) and hauled me around for several years.  She was a Mini (Mission) Cooper (see what I did there) and we had a great time.  One fall, she finally konked out in St Louis, making room for a newer, faster, cooler red Mini from this century.  He hasn't found his name yet but he is a car that could take you out to the train station and if you are a Dutton, you hear me.

However, he does have a rocket button--that is true--together we have found our balance.  I don't utilize the rocket button and in turn, he doesn't kill me.

One more thing.  Just so everyone reading this amazing piece of intriguing literature is clear, I am no Boomer.  I hail from the Latchkey Generation (aka Gen X).  We are the "forgotten" generation and you know what?  Good.

As we are getting older, we are simultaniously hauling our Boomer folks to the dementia doctors while paying for our Millennial/Gen Zers to own nicer cell phones than us, an absolute for the modern college student.

When the future leaders of this planet are traveling to a much-needed getaway to Greece, they need to take high quality megapixel pictures of themselves hanging over some deadly cliff.  Clear images are imparitve when trying to influence someone else to be as stupid as they are.

Achievement unlocked.

After influencing strangers to do their own try to cheat death stunts, they influence another influencers with names something like Journey...or wait...journey is what she is doing while living her truth, which in my day was called an "opinion."

Hold on, I will ask Star Child to explain it to me...the cheapwad version.
